HGV Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV driver to join our team at Class 1 Personnel. As an HGV driver, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy goods vehicles to complete scheduled waste collection rounds in line with company standards and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate HGVs to complete scheduled waste collection rounds
  • Maintain accurate records of routes, collections, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts
  • Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure HGVs are in good working condition
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines, including safe driving practices and site procedures
  • Assist with loading and unloading waste materials as required
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as an HGV driver
  • Valid HGV license with a clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle safety checks and legal driving standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints to complete rounds
  • Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic
