About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team at Premdor. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating an efficient and achievable plan that allows production to run smoothly and meet strategic business KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and update minimal inventory and re-order parameters to ensure that finished goods are held at optimal levels.
  • Create a plan that meets customer requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Support the Production Planning Manager/Department regarding all aspects of Production Planning.
  • Work closely with the planning and materials manager and other departments to produce daily production planning schedules.
  • Work with the production team to ensure that production can meet current and ongoing demand requirements.
  • Prepare relevant reports around slab material availability.
  • Analyse data from various sources to develop and provide management information.
  • Monitor and maintain finished goods inventory levels in accordance with set targets.
  • Ensure all production planning activities support the overall Customer Service performance targets.

About You

  • Experience of working in a production planning environment.
  • Self-starter, able to act on own initiative.
  • Tenacious and resilient.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Strong IT skills – Word and Excel and the ability to easily adapt to new systems/packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English).
  • 3 years' or more experience in a similar role.
