Job Title: Criticality Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Criticality Consultant to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). The successful candidate will have a strong background in nuclear physics and safety regulations, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of criticality assessment principles and methodologies, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in working with a variety of stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners, is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform criticality assessments for various nuclear applications, including reactor design and fuel management
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to mitigate risks associated with radioactive materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • MSc or Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nuclear safety and security
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
