Job Title: Manager/Senior Manager

This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary and benefits package, including flexible and hybrid working options to accommodate a variety of work-life balance needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the primary day-to-day contact for allocated clients, processing activities, and treasury matters, taking responsibility for all duties.
  2. Manage bank transactions, sales and purchase ledger items, expense claims, and all other general ledger postings and journals.
  3. Engage in active business partnering to ensure informed reporting of risks & opportunities, actuals, and forecast variance analysis.
  4. Ensure allocated teams keep all accounting systems up to date.
  5. Review VAT returns, EC sales lists, and Intrastat returns.
  6. Carry out ad hoc assignments, often including budgeting and assistance with cash flow forecasting and training clients in the use of their accounting systems.
  7. Assist with tendering to potential new clients and the implementation phase for new engagements.
  8. Liaise and collaborate with tax, payroll, and other departments on client matters, identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  9. Empower and educate through line management to develop more junior members of the team.
Key Skills:
  1. Minimum of 4-5 years of UK experience as a senior management accountant.
  2. ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified (Desired).
  3. Knowledge of UKGAAP and desirably IFRS.
  4. Sage and CCH experience (Desired).
  5. Strong IT skills in Xero and Excel.
  6. Positive and confident self-starter.
  7. Strong communication skills.
  8. Understanding of what is allowable under the VAT rules and the basic principles of partial exemption and how this operates.
  9. Awareness of the disclosure requirements of the Companies Act.
