The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a collaborative organization made up of eight partner companies and an extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.
We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, which will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we've ever delivered before. We'll be embarking on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes.

With such an exciting portfolio of projects planned for AMP8 to keep the water flowing across the region, our ability to manage our work and outperform against our customer's expectations will come under greater scrutiny.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial aspects of projects, ensuring robust estimates are provided that are aligned to scope.
- Support commercial and procurement strategies with Senior Buyers to ensure tender processes are followed correctly.
- Ensure subcontracts are properly prepared and reflect the agreed scope and are properly managed in accordance with contract.
- Provide accurate live forecasting, taking into account the project programme and reporting in accordance with the respective WBS/CBS.
- Ensure actual costs are properly monitored and assessed against the baseline estimate and challenge any variance to the plans.
- Provide reports on actual costs versus estimate and identify underlying reasons for any variance and resolution.
- Ensure the Alliance contract is properly administered.
- Oversee the timely issue of early warnings and advise on all matters related to compliance.
- Ensure proper records are kept so that all financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
- Ensure final accounts are prepared timely and accurately.
- Ensure that mitigation plans are in place and implemented.
- Proactively manage opportunities, including identifying and implementing plans to realise.
- Ensure that all identified efficiencies are monitored as to progress and report any variances to the plan.
- Report any withheld, disputed or disallowed costs.
- Education to degree level and hold either RICS/CIOB/CICES certification.
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex projects ranging in size up to multi-million pounds projects.
- Robust nature, able to manage change, and feel comfortable challenging decisions.
- Experience in working with NEC suite of contracts, coupled with negotiating and estimating and outstanding stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity and fairness, acting as the commercial conscience of the IPL.
- Champion collaboration and open communication and take ownership, leading with strong commercial focus.
- Working under pressure with a positive forward-thinking mentality and leading and supporting the team with a supportive empathetic approach.
