London, Greater London, United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority Full time

We are the UK's aviation and aerospace regulator, recognised as a world leader in our field. Our activities are diverse, enabling the aviation industry to meet the highest safety standards.

The role of an Aviation Security Compliance Auditor is to conduct observations, inspections, audits, and tests to ensure regulated aviation entities meet their legally mandated security obligations.

As part of the Civil Aviation Authority, you will be responsible for a wide range of compliance monitoring functions that keep the public safe and secure when travelling. Your job will be to establish whether security standards are being met, or whether rectification or enforcement action needs to be taken.

Having a background in aviation or another regulated sector is advantageous, but not mandatory, extensive training will be provided to all successful candidates.

  • You need to have a good knowledge of implementing policies and procedures and an understanding of why it's important.
  • Literate in MS office programmes.
  • The role will require you to travel to different sites across the UK in line with a pre-planned schedule of work. This generates the possibility of having to stay away for work, up to 2 nights a week on average.
  • To conduct the role you will be required to have a full UK driving licence and be prepared to undertake SC Level Security Clearance.

After the 6-month training period, we can provide the opportunity to work flexibly, or part time, subject to agreement. We offer a competitive salary of £39,451 per annum dependent on experience and fully comprehensive professional training.

We are passionate about diversity and ensuring all are included at the CAA. It also means that you may become involved in activities that take you out of your day-to-day role, providing you with opportunities to develop and grow your career with us.

We know where and when we work is important in achieving a work-life balance. We offer a range of excellent benefits such as flexible working arrangements, free onsite gym at Gatwick, discounted gym membership for London, 28 days annual leave, additional 5 days leave purchase scheme, a generous pension scheme and much more.
