Dining Room Assistant Job Description

At Towell House, we are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Dining Room Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional care and service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the dining room is clean and tidy at all times, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Prepare the dining room for meal times, setting tables and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist with the serving and delivery of meals, ensuring residents receive their preferred options and dietary requirements are met.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with residents and responding to their needs and requests.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure residents receive the best possible care and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident food and fluid intake, monitoring wastage and reporting any concerns to the relevant team leader.
  • Report any accidents or incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Participate in staff induction and training, maintaining the highest level of service and care to residents.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
