About the Role:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an exceptional Patient Access Representative to join our Patient Access team. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth patient registration and financial clearance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register Patients: Interview patients, gather demographic information, and register them for services, ensuring accurate and timely completion of registration tasks.
- Verify Insurance Information: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain necessary documents, and process payments, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Meet Performance Standards: Achieve departmental goals for accuracy, point-of-service collections, and productivity, consistently delivering high-quality results.
- Participate in Training: Engage in ongoing training and education, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Work Environment:
You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with nursing and ancillary departments to provide exceptional patient care.
