Job Title: Learning Disability Support Specialist

In the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, we are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of a Learning Disability Support Specialist. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about providing care and support to individuals with profound and complex learning disabilities and Autism. The successful candidate will work in a day centre setting or in the community, developing personalised services that meet the unique needs of each individual.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to administer medication, and provide personal care while maintaining dignity and respect for each service user. Key responsibilities include contributing to the development and implementation of TEACCH programmes, monitoring observations, and updating individual plans. A DBS check will be carried out on the successful applicant. We estimate an annual salary of approximately £30,000 - £40,000 based on industry standards and location.
