School Office Support Staff

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Receptionist to join our educational institution in Farnham, GU9 8HB.

This part-time position offers an estimated salary of £17,600 - £19,300 per annum (dependent on experience) and involves working Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 3pm (39 weeks per year).

We cater for students with severe and/or profound multiple learning difficulties in our co-educational establishment and require someone who can multitask, answer phones, and handle administrative tasks efficiently.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent communication skills to work in our supportive school office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality customer service as the first point of contact for visitors.
  • Support the school's office team with day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Manage the main switchboard and deal with all enquiries at the entrance window.
  • Collect and disperse mail, manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and perform general office duties.
  • Take notes, provide refreshments for visitors, and support parents' evening events.
  • Maintain policy review schedules and provide secretarial support as needed.

Requirements

  • Good general education, including Maths and English GCSE.
  • A friendly, helpful, and calm demeanor is required.
  • Excellent IT skills and professional appearance are expected.
  • Good telephone manner and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Demonstrate tact, confidentiality, and discretion at all times.
  • Ability to multitask, organize workload effectively, and set own priorities is required.
