Carers Development Coordinator

Action for Family Carers is a renowned charity that has been providing vital support to Adult Carers and Young Carers for over three decades. We are a Carers Trust Network Partner and hold Trusted Charity status, offering information, befriending, counselling, Young Carers clubs, Activity Groups, and Day Care across Essex.
We are seeking an experienced Carers Development Coordinator to drive positive change for Young Carers in West Essex. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a significant difference in the lives of local young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying needs and priorities for Young Carers and their families, as well as understanding local strengths and gaps in provision.
- Delivering one-to-one and group support for and with Young Carers in schools and community settings.
- Working collaboratively with schools, colleges, health, and social care providers to achieve positive outcomes for Young Carers.
- Supporting the transition of Young Carers into adulthood.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A passion for helping disadvantaged young people.
- Skilled experience working with children and young people.
- Proactivity and organisation.
- The ability to manage complex cases, including safeguarding issues.
- Confidence in working with groups and promoting the service.
