Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Basingstoke Justice Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our court services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Engage with court users and members of the public in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance and support as required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in IT, managing remote video hearings, coordinating with prisons, and handling recording equipment.
  • Utilise Cloud Video Platform technology to facilitate remote attendance at court proceedings, promoting efficiency and accessibility.
  • Perform general administrative duties during non-court hours, maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with adjudicators and court sections, fostering effective communication and coordination to achieve exceptional results.

  • Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential for this role.

About the Role

  • This is a full-time temporary position, currently scheduled to end on 31/03/2025, with possibilities of extension based on performance and business needs.
  • Work hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and flexibility.
  • Estimated salary range: £11.44 per hour, competitive and reflective of your skills and experience.
