Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Wilmslow.

This is a full-time position, providing focused assistance to students who require additional support in mathematics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maths and be committed to inspiring students to develop a positive attitude toward the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to small groups of students, helping them overcome challenges and build their confidence in mathematics.
  • Assist students in preparing for assessments and exams by developing their skills and understanding of key mathematical concepts.
  • Monitor student progress and report back to teachers, contributing to planning effective strategies for improvement.
  • Inspire students to develop a love for maths, fostering resilience and motivation in their studies.
  • Become a role model and mentor to students, creating a supportive learning environment and addressing any individual needs effectively.

Requirements:

  • Maths Graduate: A degree in mathematics or a closely related subject is essential.
  • Passion for Maths: A strong passion for mathematics and a commitment to inspiring students to develop the same.
  • Patience and Empathy: The ability to work with students of differing abilities, including those who may find maths particularly challenging.

Additional Details:

  • Estimated Salary: £19,250 - £25,000 per annum (pro rata)
  • Location: Wilmslow
  • Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
