We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Specialist in Humanities to join our well-run Secondary Academy in St Albans. As a key member of our Large Humanities team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students who behave well and have a genuine interest in their learning.

The school is offering permanent contracts across the Main Pay Scale and Upper Pay Scale, with flexibility on specialism allowing you to focus on your area of expertise. Our inclusive Humanities department is particularly keen to hear from History, Geography, or Sociology Teachers with experience or those completing their studies and looking to move onto their ECT years.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects at this growing school, offering career progression opportunities. You will be part of a modern and well-established Academy with great facilities and a positive work-life balance for all staff. The school has been rated consistently Good across its last two Ofsteds and offers a superb ECT programme and development plans for all teachers with experience.

A salary of £30,000 - £60,000 per year is available for this role, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes TLR's for those looking to take on extra responsibilities. GCSE results last year are amongst the school's highest to date and A Level Humanities are very popular.
