At Kirklees Council, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Worker to join our team at Fusion Housing. This role is responsible for providing high-quality housing services to individuals who require additional support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring they are safe and appropriate for tenants with support needs. They will also lead on property sign-ups and re-lets in their area, working closely with the repairs team and support staff to meet client needs and provide decent homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out regular inspections to ensure properties are safe and well-maintained
  • Reporting repairs and monitoring progress to ensure timely resolution
  • Encouraging rent payments and service charge compliance from clients
  • Maintaining communal areas to ensure they are safe and clean
  • Finding joint solutions to issues such as anti-social behavior or neighborly disputes

Requirements:

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
