About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Yunex Traffic. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for optimizing our production processes and implementing cutting-edge techniques and tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the introduction of new products, determining efficient methods and guiding the design/production team.
- Conduct structured problem-solving for production-related issues.
- Participate in cost reduction exercises and introduce new processes, techniques, and tooling.
- Provide training and guidance to other operators on production-related topics.
- Act as the primary interface between manufacturing and other business functions.
- Encourage and support the best use of business resources to achieve objectives.
- Generate estimates, control, and monitor costs for job functions.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Take an active role in Health and Safety matters.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis activities.
- Identify and implement new manufacturing techniques.
- Analyse and plan workflow, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational.
- Advise the Engineering team on Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Perform any other duties reasonably requested within the role's scope.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer who has a strong understanding of modern manufacturing practices and processes. The ideal candidate will have a HNC/Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics or a similar field and a working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
