Child Wellbeing Advocate

We are seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in York. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students who require additional support.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support students 1:1 and through intervention sessions, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential. They will work closely with the school's leadership team to develop and implement strategies that promote student wellbeing and academic success.
- This role involves de-escalating challenging situations with a calm and measured approach, ensuring all students feel safe and supported.
- You will work alongside qualified SEMH professionals, Specialist Teachers, and Educational Psychologists, sharing best practices and expertise.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a 2:1 Psychology-related degree from a Top 20 University and relevant experience working with children with SEN or SEMH.
The salary for this role is £22,575 - £25,400 per annum (pro-rata), paid weekly on a PAYE basis.
