About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Child Protection Specialist to join our team in Stevenage. As a key member of our Private and Public Law teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children involved in court applications.

In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential issues affecting the child's interests and gather vital information through interviews with parents and other agencies. Your expertise will enable you to create comprehensive, evidence-based reports that inform court decisions, all supported by Cafcass practice aids to ensure your recommendations are informed and effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend initial court hearings to advocate for the child's needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant Social Work qualification
  • Registration with the Social Work England regulator
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children and families in a social work capacity
  • Experience in Family Court proceedings and understanding of Private and/or Public Law would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
