The Occupational Health Practitioner will be responsible for promoting and supporting the health and wellbeing of employees. This includes providing occupational health surveillance, health screening, and health promotion advice and guidance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing pre-employment questionnaires and conducting assessments to ensure fitness for work
  • Liaising with the Health and Safety team, Managers, and HR to ensure reasonable adjustments are in place
  • Assessing referrals to the OH service and providing advice and guidance to maintain a physically and mentally fit workforce
  • Working with HR Officers to support staff returning to work following a period of absence
  • Organizing and conducting health surveillance assessments in conjunction with Health and Safety requirements
  • Identifying health trends within the organization and determining preventative initiatives
  • Leading and participating in groups that support the promotion of Health and Wellbeing of staff

The ideal candidate will have experience in an Occupational Health position outside of a hospital environment, a recognized Occupational Health qualification, and a registered nursing qualification.

Key requirements include:

  • Experience in a medical role
  • Knowledge of current Occupational Health best practice
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and team working
  • Ability to work in an organized and methodical manner
