Job Description

As a Learning Support Assistant at our special school in Surrey, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with complex needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualised support to students in the classroom and during activities outside of lessons
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and preparation
  • Supporting students with their personal care needs, such as administering medication and assisting with toileting
  • Engaging students in extracurricular activities and promoting their physical and emotional well-being

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field
  • Experience of working with children with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
