Specialist Learning Support Assistant

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school and college, supporting students with complex learning disabilities and challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of therapy-based education and support students in developing vital life skills.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to foster a positive learning environment.
- Support students through emotional, social, and behavioral challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop a specialized skill set, enhancing your career prospects in the education sector.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training, with clear pathways to grow into Senior and Higher-Level Teaching Assistant roles.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Adaptability and resilience, as you'll be supporting students through challenging behaviors.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills, enough to help students and keep records.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure, with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment.
