About the Role

2000 SPTS Technologies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing and its support teams are planning and completing to the correct specifications, in the most efficient way possible, to deliver high-value capital equipment, on time, in full, and to spec.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare feedback on Design for Manufacture to Product Design and New Product Launch teams
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including assembly and test procedures
  • Manage specifications with Enovia PLM - Training will be provided
  • Lead multiple projects, working multi-functionally with our Operations and Engineering Teams
  • Investigate and resolve technical challenges to support manufacturing processes
  • Provide technical or product guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions
  • Generate, review, and approve Engineering Change Orders
  • Understand budgets and support CAPEX requests
  • Implementing change, right first time, following our Product Lifecycle (PLC) process

Requirements

  • Is Degree qualified in an Engineering field or HNC/HND plus relevant experience
  • Is proficient with Solid Edge, Solid Works, and AutoCAD Electrical - desirable but not essential
  • Has an understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 for wiring and harness assemblies and IPC A-610H for electrical assembly - desirable but not essential
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
