About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to support our leading science division at Kew in achieving its strategic goals. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights to our senior scientists, enabling them to manage their grant-funded research projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Kew Science to develop comprehensive, fully costed budgets for submission to funders, often working within tight deadlines.
  • Manage post-award financial activities for a portfolio of research projects, including monitoring and reporting actual expenditure to ensure alignment with funder requirements.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets for several Kew Science departments, with a total annual budget of approximately £20 million.
About You

We are looking for a professional with proven experience in research-funded project accounting, who can provide collaborative financial support to non-finance colleagues within a diverse organization. You will join a team of five supporting Kew Science and have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.
