Job Title: Fetal Monitoring Specialist Midwife

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fetal Monitoring Specialist Midwife to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our maternity care team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance on fetal monitoring practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance on fetal monitoring practices to midwives and obstetricians.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff on fetal monitoring and CTG interpretation.
  • Lead weekly CTG workshops and maintain attendance registers to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Suite Obstetric Consultant to develop an audit form for reviewing emergency births and caesarean sections.
  • Contribute to the development of a learning organization and identify own training and professional development needs.
Requirements:
  • Registered Midwife with a BSc or Degree in Midwifery.
  • ENB 997 or equivalent/mentorship qualification evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Fetal monitoring masterclass attendance (physiological CTG interpretation).
  • Proven leadership skills and effective communication skills.
  • Recent labour ward experience and ability to manage conflict.
