Job Description

Apple Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Management Specialist to join our team. As a Digital Project Lead, you will be responsible for managing and delivering digital projects and programs across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage digital projects and programs to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop business cases and manage projects through formal approval stages.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop plans and strategies for project management, produce documentation and reports in line with organizational standards, and report project progress through regular updates.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party suppliers in the procurement, implementation, and transition of digital systems, solutions, and services.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Maintain portfolio logs for requests, mandates, risks, and issues, and ensure that all project deliverables are coordinated and duplication is avoided.
  • Operational Documentation: Ensure that all operational documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Business Continuity: Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the line manager for relevant services in the event of a business continuity/disaster recovery situation.
Requirements:
  • Education: A university degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a portfolio/project management role within a major organization.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work with a range of stakeholders, and experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE 2 or MoP.
  • Other: A current full driving license and access to a car on appointment.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Qualifications: Prince II Practitioner or Management of Successful Programs Practitioner or Management of Portfolio Practitioner qualifications.
