About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professor to lead our research in Climate Change and Sustainability. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research in this area and be able to develop and lead research projects, as well as supervise PhD students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and carry out excellent research in Climate Change and Sustainability
  • Actively pursue research funding through high-quality grant proposals
  • Develop and lead knowledge exchange and impact activities in Climate Change and Sustainability
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the School through new research directions
  • Develop and deliver innovative teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programs and courses in Human Geography
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students' work and take responsibility for dealing with referred issues
  • Represent the School with integrity in a professional capacity at national and international conferences
Requirements
  • PhD in a related field or a track-record of high-quality research in the area
  • Evidence of successful teaching delivery on UG and/or PG programs
  • Leadership on teaching programs and courses at UG and PG level
  • Ability to develop partnerships with academic and non-academic audiences
  • Ability to build a world-class academic group in your area of expertise
