Adult Safeguarding Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Safeguarding team at Sja's West. As a Safeguarding Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our service users.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitoring the implementation of our safeguarding policy to ensure it is effective and up-to-date.
- Providing guidance and support on safeguarding matters to our volunteers and staff.
- Responding to questions and concerns regarding safeguarding in a timely and professional manner.
As a Safeguarding Team Member, you will have access to a range of learning and development opportunities, including:
- Safeguarding Awareness training to help you understand your role and responsibilities.
- Safeguarding in Practice training to equip you with the skills and knowledge to respond to safeguarding incidents.
- Working Safely with Children and Adults at Risk of Harm training to ensure you are confident and competent in your role.

Mandatory Training:
- Safeguarding in Practice weekend within 12 months of joining and every three years thereafter.
- Annual CPD event weekend.
- Annual Regional Safeguarding Meeting event.
Weekend events are from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime. The location of the events changes each year.
