Reporting to the Event & Stock Flow Planning Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of stock from our distribution center (DC) to our retail stores. Your primary objective is to maximize operational efficiency while delivering exceptional service to our stores and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage outbound ordering, prioritization, and capacity utilization to guarantee that the right stock is available in the right quantities at the right time for our retail locations.
  • Become a subject matter expert in our specialized store stock system. Utilize advanced tools to optimize store inventory by prioritizing SKU/store needs based on business priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain Teams, retail operations, and 3PL planning teams. Escalate any critical issues to your Line Manager as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with planning teams across Screwfix and our 3PL partners to ensure effective capacity planning for transportation, DC operations, and picking processes.
  • Continuously strive to balance operational efficiencies with business objectives, always prioritizing the needs of our customers at every stage of the process.
  • Engage directly with Trade Counters to understand their specific requirements and identify new opportunities to enhance availability and overcome operational challenges.
  • Develop strong relationships with 3PL colleagues to ensure prompt and effective resolution of any issues. Report any significant concerns to your Line Manager.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and analyses to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to outbound stock management and identify areas for improvement.
