Job Summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Associate Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our nursing services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive the care group programme for patient flow across the inpatient wards.
  • Work with the Care Group Directors of Nursing to ensure the implementation of patient experience initiatives across the Trust.
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure high standards of care for patients and their families.
  • Lead annual reviews of nursing roles and establishment to ensure new and expanded responsibilities are developed where appropriate.
  • Promote and maintain an evidence-based practice culture for nursing staff.

Person Specification
  • Evidence of further academic/personal development and current NMC registration.
  • Postgraduate cert/Master's degree in nursing, healthcare, or management or equivalent knowledge and skills.
  • 5 years nursing experience at a senior level (clinical and/or management roles), including appropriate experience in an acute hospital setting.
