Job Summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our nursing services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive the care group programme for patient flow across the inpatient wards.
  • Work with the Care Group Directors of Nursing to ensure the implementation of patient experience initiatives across the Trust.
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure high standards of care for patients and their families.
  • Provide professional nursing leadership of the nursing teams across the Care Group.
  • Lead annual reviews of nursing roles and establishment.
  • Promote and maintain an evidence-based practice culture for nursing staff.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Evidence of further academic/personal development.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Postgraduate cert/ Master's degree in nursing, healthcare or management or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Desirable

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience of working within a devolved management structure.
