The Junior Security Operations Coordinator will support our Regional Security Manager in ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality operational security services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing security advice and assistance to travellers, expatriates, and corporate security/risk managers.
  • Working alongside the security operations team during escalations across all regions.
  • Assisting with coordinating operations as part of an Incident Management Team during escalated situations, evacuations, and security operations.
  • Collaborating with our team of Global Intelligence Analysts to contribute to Africa-related operational advice and risk intelligence output.
  • Covering the Global Intelligence Analysts where additional resource is required to cover Global Incident Monitoring and intelligence support.
  • Assisting in the development of security operational capability across Africa.
  • Take responsibility for asset due diligence across all regions.
  • Work with the medical team on emergency medical response plans.

In addition to full training being provided for the role, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to undertake a market-leading Crisis and Security Risk Manager training programme, specifically designed to develop their security manager skills and competencies.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of security operations, crisis management, and logistics planning is desirable.
  • Experience of operating in an international context is an advantage.
  • An insight into intelligence analysis techniques, such as OSINT, is helpful but not necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of working in small, close teams.
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure, whilst following protocol with high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. A second regional language is an advantage.

About Healix:

Healix is a leading provider of global health and security services. We work with governments, broadcasters, NGOs, international corporations, major insurers, and more. Our purpose is to help people in difficult situations, whether that's a cancer diagnosis, a need for medical assistance when they're far from home, or being caught up in conflict or natural disaster. We talk to them, support them, and make sure they get the help they need. If necessary, we'll pull them out and bring them home.

We're coordinators and problem-solvers: experts at navigating the global health and security landscape. Our teams of doctors, nurses, travel and medical co-ordinators, and security experts make sure that your people will be looked after, whatever happens, supported by technology designed to help individuals, not slot them into a predetermined solution.

Company Culture:

At Healix, we focus on ensuring our highly trained specialists have the space and time they need to be effective. We let them use their initiative to get the job done, because the situations they face often throw up unexpected challenges – and no protocol survives contact with the real world.

We want to nurture this friendly and dynamic company culture so that we can continue to attract diverse talent with a breadth of knowledge and world-class skills. As a part of Healix, you can expect a range of excellent benefits and an environment where people really do care.
