About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive strategic vision for education, inclusion, and skills in Bristol. As the Director of Education and Inclusion, you will be responsible for driving transformational change and ensuring that all children in Bristol have access to high-quality education and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for education, inclusion, and skills in Bristol, working closely with stakeholders across the city.
  • Lead the development of partnerships between schools, community services, and local authorities to support vulnerable children and families.
  • Drive the delivery of services within the Council, ensuring that they are effective, efficient, and sustainable.
  • Manage budgets and resources to achieve desired outcomes and ensure that the Council's safeguarding responsibilities are met.
  • Build strong relationships with school leaders, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and coordination.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of achieving desired outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges facing diverse cities like Bristol, including education, inclusion, and skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, including schools, community organizations, and local authorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of budgetary management and resource allocation, with the ability to make informed decisions.
