Position Overview:
Willis Global Ltd, a leading entity in the Supply Chain & Logistics domain, is on the lookout for a Customs Operations Specialist to enhance their team. This role is pivotal in managing customs processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee import and export activities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with legal professionals to maintain compliance in export operations.
  • Efficiently manage duty obligations with HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and regulatory authorities regarding operational activities.
  • Execute data entry tasks and manage customs entry requests effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in customs compliance, specifically in exports and imports.
  • Familiarity with customs clearance processes, particularly for UK and EU imports.
  • Knowledge of logistics, transport, or haulage operations is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) system, transit procedures, and ETSF is advantageous.
  • Experience with HMRC amendments and reclaim processes.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends based on operational demands.
