Customs Clerk Job Description

At WR Logistics, we are seeking a skilled Customs Clerk to coordinate all import and export activities related to customs regulations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HM Revenue & Customs regulations and liaising with customs authorities, customers, and suppliers to address any issues arising from business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate import and export activities, conforming to HM Revenue & Customs regulations.
  • Liaise with customs legal counsel to check controls and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure all HM Revenue & Customs duty liabilities are fulfilled, minimising cost.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, necessary agents, and customs authorities to address any issues/questions arising from business activities.
  • High volumes of data entry on spreadsheets.
  • Making customs entry amendment requests to HMRC.

Requirements:
  • Working experience of Exports/Imports & Customs Compliance and regulations (at least 2 years' experience in the UK).
  • Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities with particular focus on UK & EU imports.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Working knowledge of the CDS system both Imports and Exports.

Salary: Up to £28,000.00
