About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Fracture Clinic Team as an Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner. This post will involve working as a high-level practitioner with advanced clinical skills within the trauma multidisciplinary team, primarily to ensure that patients receive holistic, timely and high-quality clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist management and advice for patients with fractures and soft tissue pathologies.
  • Work autonomously in delivering clinics alongside Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, providing initial assessment and diagnosis, identifying and interpreting appropriate investigations, listing for surgical and therapeutic procedures and the follow up of patients.
  • Manage patients with a wide range of acute musculoskeletal conditions, utilizing post-graduate qualifications and high-level clinical reasoning skills.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of managing patients with acute musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Post-graduate qualifications relevant to the position.
  • High-level clinical reasoning skills, excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
