Job Title: Community Development Coordinator

Location: Hybrid (split between home-working and our Cardiff office)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Development Coordinator to join our team in Wales. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us raise awareness of The Ramblers and its mission to promote walking and the outdoors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community outreach and engagement strategies to promote The Ramblers' programs and services in Wales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local volunteer leaders, community organizations, and stakeholders to inspire change and promote walking and the outdoors.
  • Support communities to achieve their own objectives and advise and guide other Ramblers teams as they work in and with communities.
  • Identify and develop new partnerships and opportunities to grow and expand The Ramblers' programs and impact.
  • Work with the Director of Wales to raise the profile and grow local networks within Wales.
  • Collaborate with the Resolutions Manager to help local resolution of difficult situations and provide a proactive and positive approach to supporter engagement.
Requirements
  • Experience of partner engagement and account management.
  • Experience of working with local authorities and community organizations.
  • Experience of successfully engaging communities in a program.
  • Interest in walking and a commitment to the principles of inclusion and enabling everyone to feel welcome in the outdoors.
  • Flexible and able to develop strong, collaborative relationships and work in a team.
  • Willing to travel and to spend evenings and weekends away from home.
