Overview

OppenheimerFunds Distributor, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Risk Analyst to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced risk analyst with a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments to support our Global Performance Measurement Risk's (GPMR) team based in London. The ideal candidate will have expertise in risk models and statistics, as well as knowledge of MSCI RiskMetrics and Bloomberg.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a coordinated risk measurement infrastructure that reflects EMEA risk monitoring needs.
  • Ensure risk measurement capabilities and outputs are continuously improved and adjusted based on regulatory requirements or contractual guidelines.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report market risk, liquidity risk, and leverage across all EMEA funds.
  • Provide comprehensive and high-quality portfolio risk measurement, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with global Risk Measurement teams and other Investment Risk functions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the global platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expert-level understanding of risk models and statistics, including VaR, Volatility, and Tracking Error.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments at a theoretical level, including pricing methodologies for derivatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of MSCI RiskMetrics and good Bloomberg knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, and VBA is a must.
  • BarraOne, Blackrock Aladdin, Axioma experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate in a global team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • High research capability.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct complex analysis and present data in a meaningful way.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum
