We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Change Risk Specialist to join our team at XL Catlin. As a key member of our Risk Management function, you will play a critical role in advancing our work assessing the risks from Climate Change Litigation, Transition, and the Physical Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the work on Climate Change Litigation Risk assessment by identifying and developing new scenarios, while enhancing the current scenarios and risk framework.
  • Perform scenario analysis, interpret results, and communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Lead the work on Climate Transition Risk by enhancing existing tools, extending the model across all relevant Lines of Business, interpreting results, and communicating to key stakeholders.
  • Support work on Climate Change Physical Risk, working with risk stakeholders across XL Catlin to enhance the reporting of the impacts of Climate Change, validating analysis, interpreting results, and communicating to key stakeholders.
  • Support the project of embedding 'Climate Change' into the Risk Management framework by providing targeted help across all risk pillars.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging expertise to enhance the risk assessments.
  • Ensure that regulatory requirements are met and delivered accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing projects and multi-tasking to achieve various deliverables.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Programming experience (SQL, R, Python, etc.).
  • Team player with a proven ability to partner with business colleagues and manage key relationships.
  • Willingness to undertake projects in fields outside the area of direct expertise.
