Job Description

Job Title: Climate Change Risk Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Change Risk Specialist to join our team at XL CATLIN. As a Climate Change Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in advancing our work assessing the risks from Climate Change Litigation, Transition, and the Physical Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Climate Change Litigation Risk Assessment: Identify and develop new scenarios, enhance the current scenarios and risk framework, perform scenario analysis, interpret results, and communicate to key stakeholders.
  2. Lead Climate Transition Risk: Enhance existing tools, extend the model across all relevant Lines of Business, interpret results, and communicate to key stakeholders.
  3. Support Climate Change Physical Risk: Work with risk stakeholders across XL CATLIN to enhance the reporting of the impacts of Climate Change, validate analysis, interpret results, and communicate to key stakeholders.
  4. Embed Climate Change into Risk Management Framework: Provide targeted help across all risk pillars to support the project of embedding 'Climate Change' into the Risk Management framework.
  5. Liaise with Stakeholders: Leverage expertise to enhance the risk assessments and ensure that regulatory requirements are met and delivered accurately and timely.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with experience in a Risk Management role or similar. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Knowledge of Insurance and Risk Management Practices:
  2. Experience in Managing Projects and Multi-Tasking:
  3. Excellent Microsoft Office Skills:
  4. Programming Experience:
  5. Team Player with Proven Ability to Partner with Business Colleagues:
  6. Willingness to Undertake Projects in Fields Outside Area of Direct Expertise:
