Clinical Specialist in Upper Limb Therapy

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and clinically experienced Upper Limb Clinical Specialist (OT/PT) to join our expanding and supportive team.
About the RoleAs a Clinical Specialist in Upper Limb Therapy, you will be responsible for the general management of the team and service, assisting with service expansion via development of new care pathways and business cases. You will also manage a complex caseload of Upper Limb patients and work within our large therapy rehabilitation department.
Main Duties- Work with current clinical specialists (PT/OT) in providing upper limb therapy assessment and treatment for patients following trauma and elective surgery.
- Assist in the management of the Upper Limb therapy team/service, including service planning, reviewing, and auditing.
- Ensure clinical effectiveness across the Upper limb therapy clinical speciality by utilising evaluation and research skills.
- Provide strong clinical leadership in the provision of an effective, high-quality, Upper limb therapy Service for patients.
- Lead and support audit and research projects to evaluate service delivery.
- Be responsible for the education, training, and development of upper limb therapy staff.
