Job Title: Wind Turbine Package Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Package Manager to lead the development and delivery of the Wind Turbine package for an offshore renewables project in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design, specification, supply, transport, installation, and commissioning of the project's wind turbines and associated ancillary packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for the Turbine Package, including design, certification, supply, transport, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensuring the safety of the project team and stakeholders by implementing the SHE charter and managing health and safety risks.
  • Developing and delivering the Wind Turbine contract package, based on the overall contracting strategy, and evaluating options for emerging technology and value improvement opportunities.
  • Working with the project leadership team to define governance arrangements for the package and provide ongoing confidence that the package will support the project in meeting its phase objectives.
  • Defining and managing the budget for the Wind Turbine package and optimum resource plan for the package, taking into account the requirement for dedicated and shared resources.
  • Project programme tracking, risk management, and coordination of all activities as they relate to the Turbine Package objectives.
  • Working with the project leadership team to enhance the contracting strategy for the project, which will optimize supply chain opportunities, the Business Case, and the project delivery strategy.
Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
  • Substantial knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and practices.
  • Substantial knowledge of commercial drivers for major infrastructure projects.
  • Substantial knowledge of Wind Turbine EPCI.
  • Substantial knowledge of package management and procurement processes.
  • Substantial knowledge of project risk management.
  • Experience of leading package teams on a variety of development projects.
Personal Attributes and Competencies:
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and perform within a culture of high uncertainty and rapid change.
  • Ability to represent the client and the project externally.
  • Well-developed negotiation skills, including engaging, influencing, and developing effective relationships.
