Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of wind turbine major components, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replacement of turbine major components, including generators and gearboxes
  • Up-tower repair projects
  • Supporting on all engineering projects
  • Troubleshooting and service of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Leading a team of technicians to ensure health and safety procedures are followed
  • Assisting in site operations, including servicing and maintenance
  • Ensuring all relevant tooling and equipment is certified and ready for use
  • Complying with customer site rules
  • Reporting incidents and occurrences as per Deutsche Windtechnik company Health and Safety policy
  • Participating in on-call cover on weekends and bank holidays
  • Communicating effectively with clients and all levels of the business
Requirements
  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, e.g., wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant, or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments
  • Valid driving license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Heavy lifting experience
  • Slinger signaller certification
  • Previous wind turbine experience
  • Valid health and safety certificates
  • IT proficient on MS Suite
  • Experience of working under CDM
