SEN Teaching Assistant

Schools in Hertfordshire require experienced support staff to assist students with special educational needs. As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant on a supply basis, you will collaborate with teachers and senior learning support assistants to develop individualized learning plans. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working with children and wish to make a positive impact.
About the Role
This SEN teaching assistant position involves supporting students aged 3-19 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Your responsibilities may include preparing resources, providing one-on-one support, and assisting with personal care when required.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths. You should also possess a genuine desire to work within the education sector and have the necessary training and qualifications. As part of our safeguarding commitment, we undertake checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education.'
What We Offer
We offer competitive daily rates of £85-£95, depending on experience. Our registered candidates also benefit from free child protection and prevent duty training. All applicants must have undertaken or be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
