Pathology Laboratory Information Systems Specialist

About The Role

As a Pathology Laboratory Information Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-level specialist support for complex issues related to Pathology Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS), using best practice and internal working instructions/policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with technical vendor teams as part of third-line support fault fixing and end-user queries.
  • Communicate with superuser populations as appropriate, cascading information relating to hardware and software developments.
  • Produce training manuals and instructional material to assist staff with the use of Pathology/Histology systems and process.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work as part of a team, maintain confidentiality, work with minimal supervision, and organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Awareness of pathology regulatory requirements, legislation, privacy laws, and compliance regarding health information use within Spire and the broader community.
  • Application Support experience, professionalism in a busy hospital environment, strong teamwork skills, and structured project management approach.
