Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

MARS Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturer of high-tech instrumentation in Woodstock.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to take accountability and responsibility for producing 3D designs, 2D drawings, and associated calculations, validation, and verification activities in the development of new products and improvements to existing product ranges.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline, ideally Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Industrial, and at least 2-3 years of experience in a Mechanical Design role. A background in scientific instrumentation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and associated calculations for new and existing products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and company goals.
  3. Conduct validation and verification activities to ensure design meets specifications and regulations.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to improve design and product offerings.

What We Offer:

MARS Recruitment is offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000, plus a yearly bonus, pension, flexible working, and a share scheme. Requirements:

  1. Relevant degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
  2. At least 2-3 years of experience in a Mechanical Design role.
  3. Background in scientific instrumentation is highly desirable.
  4. Proficiency in SolidWorks 2019 or above, and Microsoft Office products.
