We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Housing Group Manager to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team responsible for delivering an efficient and effective private Housing Service through enforcement, licensing advice, and promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of professionals responsible for delivering a high-quality private Housing Service.
- Coordinate the work of the team, including allocating tasks, devising and implementing projects, and managing performance to meet organizational aims and objectives.
- Lead the future shape and direction of the Team through the service planning process, devise and deliver the team's service plan, and monitor and report on team performance against the plan.
- Ensure that service requests, including complaints, applications, appeals, and contraventions, are dealt with in a timely and customer-focused manner.
- Provide expert guidance, leadership, and direction in relation to complex investigations, acting as the Senior Investigating Officer as appropriate, directing resources, evaluating evidence, and presenting expert evidence in court or in tribunals.
Requirements:
- Hold an appropriate Chartered Institute of Environmental Health approved academic qualification, an MSc or BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health or equivalent degree, or equivalent vocational qualification in a related field.
- Evidence of continuing professional/managerial development.
- Extensive experience of all aspects of private sector housing work, including the legal and technical aspects of the application of housing law and property licensing to standards and the regulation of accommodation and the rights and responsibilities of owners and occupiers.
Important Notes:
- You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the U.K.
- This role requires a basic DBS.
