About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the hospital, including communal spaces, patient rooms, and clinical areas.
- Replenish stocks of cleaning supplies, paper products, and other essential items.
- Operate a range of cleaning equipment, including floor cleaning machines, steam cleaners, and other specialized equipment.
- Assess and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with the Hotel Service Supervisor to identify and address any cleaning or maintenance issues.
- Collect and store waste in accordance with hospital waste disposal policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning services, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
