Theatre Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Theatre Support Worker. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our theatre staff.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of theatres for surgery, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of theatre and recovery areas, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
- Support the scrub team and circulating personnel, ensuring seamless communication and coordination during surgical procedures.
- Assist with the care and transportation of patients, adhering to patient safety and dignity protocols.
- Participate in the collection and transportation of specimens, and the collection of blood from the Blood Bank as required.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, utilizing trusted IT systems to ensure compliance with local policies and procedures.

Person SpecificationEssential Criteria:
- NVQ/Diploma level 2 in Healthcare or an equivalent healthcare qualification, with competencies assessed in a healthcare environment.
- Functional Skills level 1 Maths and English.
- Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker or Trainee in a care setting or equivalent.
Desirable Criteria:
- Care Certificate.
- NHS Experience.
Skills:
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good standard of literacy and ability to maintain records.
- Effective and concise communication skills.
