About the Role

The Paediatric Nutrition Specialist will work closely with inpatients, the paediatric multidisciplinary team (MDT), and receive support from the paediatric outpatient and home enteral feeding dietetic team. This position requires collaboration with the community paediatric team and input into the countywide paediatric service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive dietetic assessments, providing expert advice, treatment, and counselling to support behavioural change in children and their families/carers through one-to-one interviews, group sessions, and structured education.
  • Autonomously managing a complex caseload and working with children and their carers to agree patient-centred care.
  • Collaborating with the wider multi-disciplinary healthcare team to ensure delivery of coordinated care and providing specialist advice and attending case conferences and network meetings as appropriate.
  • Providing training and education to patients, carers, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to promote an understanding of the aims of dietetic treatment and ensure a consistent approach to patient care.
  • Managing clinical risk within own caseload and having an understanding of safeguarding.

Annual Salary: $72,500
