Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Injury Claims Handler to join our team at Carpenters Group. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will require you to manage a high-volume caseload of Fast Track RTA claims.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing their caseload in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that clients receive appropriate legal advice and guidance throughout the process.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing a high-volume caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA claims, using the firm's Case Management Systems and following agreed internal procedures and practices.
  • Progressing cases through all stages of the investigation and litigation process, providing regular updates to clients and managing their expectations.
  • Identifying early those cases where proceedings would be tactically beneficial to litigate and taking a practical but commercial approach to settlements.
  • Liaising with medical agencies, experts, third-party insurers, and other relevant parties to ensure cases are proactively progressed.
  • Taking a lead role in court hearings, making representations in respect of the claim before the judiciary, and instructing Barristers as necessary.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial experience of managing your own caseload of Fast Track RTA litigated claims.
  • Excellent litigator skills, with strong drafting abilities and the capacity to negotiate effective settlements.
  • A solid working knowledge of the CPR, legislation, and relevant case law.
  • Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills, with a focus on delivering quality service to clients and the firm.
